The Space
Light Yoga & Wellbeing is a low-key space at North Parade Avenue in the heart of Central North Oxford. North Parade is an attractive pedestrian street near Uni Parks with cafes, pubs, a corner shop, a delightful organic deli, a colourful wool shop, a salon, an accessory shop, two art galleries, and places to sit out in the sun for coffee /lunch.
We have the main practice space, the snug at the back, and downstairs what we like to call The Cove - which is the bijou massage spa. Sessions are completely private to keep in the good vibes.
All our candles are paraben free, we make them ourselves with organic soya wax or beeswax, essential oils, and herbs from our garden. We also sell our candles in the One Light Shop which is tucked up on a couple of shelves towards the back of the main practice space. All takings from the shop go to Humane Society International. Our extra curricular activities exist to generate donations for Doctors Without Borders, The Dogs Trust, and The Humane Society on an ongoing basis. It's a win-win energy flow because you feel good while you help other beings feel good, and that makes us feel good too.
Equipment
We have mats, bolsters, blocks, blankets, bluetooth speaker. gongs, singing bowls, rainsticks, and chimes.
The snug has comfortable chairs for five, and there are 8 more chairs and a bench for larger groups.
There is a bathroom on the ground floor and one downstairs. There is also a special sink area for creating tinctures, oils, and preparations.

What Goes On
We have writing groups, counselling, talking therapies, and small group meetings in the snug. We have yoga, dance, kirtan, art exhibitions and larger group workshops in the main practice space. There is room for small theatre productions, poetry readings, or gigs.
We have Indian Head Massage, Hand massage, and hot stone full body massage in The Cove.
Always open to enriching and inclusive activities which encourage wellbeing and peace of mind, we welcome enquiries regarding space hire. General costs are £25/hour.
